Welcome to the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! We are continuing our deep dive of Onyx Storm with chapters 38-43.
The Quest Squad arrives in Zehyllna, eager for adventure—but fate has other plans. A seemingly harmless game of chance takes a dark turn when Zihnal bestows “gifts” upon them. Most are manageable… except for Traeger, who takes an arrow to the heart. RIP, Traeger!
In order to honor of Traeger and Silaraine, the squad journeys to a remote, uninhabited isle — only to experience the shock of a lifetime. The irids FINALLY reveal themselves! Just when it seems like long-awaited answers are within reach, hope is shattered. There is no cure for the venin. And worse, Violet has failed their criterion test with Andarna, leading the irids to refuse their aid on the continent.
Defeated and disheartened, the squad returns to Basgiath — only to be met with yet another devastating blow: Queen Maraya is DEAD.
